Privacy Policy
This policy describes how NorthSouth Apps LLC ("we," "us," or "the operator") handles information collected through the StreamFights mobile application and the streamfights.com website.
1. Plain-language summary
StreamFights is built to not creep on you. We don't use device advertising IDs, we don't fingerprint, and we don't sell your data. The information we do collect is the minimum needed to operate the app and improve it.
Event schedules, fight cards, and fighter information shown in the app are aggregated from publicly available combat-sports sources. StreamFights does not claim ownership of that data.
2. What we collect
2.1 Anonymous install identifier
The first time you launch the StreamFights app, we generate a random universally-unique identifier and store it locally on your device. This identifier is not tied to your name, email, phone number, or any device-level identifier (such as an Android Advertising ID). It exists so the app can remember your settings and so that activity can be associated with your install without identifying you personally. If you uninstall the app, the identifier is deleted.
2.2 Routing-tap activity
When you tap a routing button in the app (or follow a routing link from us on the web), we log information about that tap so we can attribute referrals to the streaming or ticketing partner you tapped through to. This includes a salted, non-reversible hash derived from your network address, which we use to detect abuse of the routing endpoints. We do not store your raw IP address.
We do not pass your install identifier through to the destination partner — the destination partner only sees the affiliate parameters their program requires, which identify us as the referring publisher, not you.
2.3 Product analytics events
We use a third-party product-analytics processor to record anonymous in-app usage events (which screens you view, which features you use). Property values are limited to product-state fields; we don't record free-form text content or your screen output. Events are keyed to the anonymous install identifier from §2.1. The processor does not receive your name, email, or device-level identifier from us. You can disable analytics entirely from the app's Settings — see §7.1 below.
2.4 What we don't collect
- We do not collect, request, or use your Android Advertising ID.
- We do not fingerprint your device through canvas, WebGL, audio, sensor, or font enumeration.
- We do not embed third-party advertising SDKs or ad-network trackers.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information for advertising or marketing purposes operated by third parties.
- We do not collect precise location data. We do not collect biometric data. We do not collect contacts, calendar, microphone, or camera data.
- We do not require an account, sign-up, email address, or social-network login to use the app.
3. How we use the information we collect
- To operate the app — including remembering your settings and what you've followed.
- To attribute referral conversions to our publisher account with the streaming or ticketing partners whose programs we participate in.
- To diagnose product issues, detect abuse of the routing endpoints, and prioritize improvements.
4. Third-party links and partners
The app routes you to third-party streaming and ticketing services. Each has its own privacy policy that applies once you arrive on its site or app; we are not responsible for those practices.
5. Where data is stored and processed
We use US-based infrastructure to store and process the information described in this policy. We do not intentionally transfer data outside the United States. If you access StreamFights from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
6. How long we keep information
We retain the information described in this policy for as long as needed for the purposes described above. The anonymous install identifier on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear app data. To request deletion of records associated with your install, contact us — see §7.2.
7. Your choices and rights
7.1 Opt out of product analytics
Open the StreamFights app, go to Settings → Privacy, and turn off the Analytics toggle. With analytics off, the analytics processor on your device stops sending events; nothing further is recorded by it from your install.
7.2 Delete your data
To request deletion of records associated with your install, email privacy@northsouthapps.com. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app also generates a new anonymous install identifier; your prior identifier remains in our records but is no longer linkable to anything you do going forward.
7.3 Right to know, delete, or correct (California residents — CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect about them, request deletion, and correct inaccurate information under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act. To exercise these rights, email privacy@northsouthapps.com. We will reply with the categories of personal information we hold associated with the identifying detail you provide, and process deletion or correction requests within the timelines required by California law. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA / CPRA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
7.4 Right to access, delete, restrict, object (EU / UK residents — GDPR / UK GDPR)
We do not actively market or distribute the StreamFights app in the European Union or the United Kingdom and the app is currently launching in the United States only. If you nonetheless access the app or website from the EU or UK, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email privacy@northsouthapps.com. We rely on "legitimate interest" (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) as the lawful basis for the minimal processing described in this policy, balanced against the privacy-protective design choices in §2.4.
8. Children
StreamFights is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact privacy@northsouthapps.com and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect data in transit and at rest.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practical, post a notice in the app on next launch. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
